OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman has dismissed the notion of a strained relationship with Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella.

Altman clarified their rapport during a conversation at the WSJ Tech Live conference on Tuesday, Business Insider reported. He stated, “I won’t pretend that it’s like a perfect relationship, but we’re nowhere near the frenemy territory.”

The two companies have been reportedly clashing over the integration of OpenAI’s model with Microsoft Corp’s Bing chatbot. Microsoft’s $10 billion investment in OpenAI has also raised issues, with Microsoft staff expressing concerns over reduced internal AI investment.
